As the first shaft manufacturer in Japan, Shimada Golf Mfg. Co., Ltd. has been producing “made in Japan” steel shaft since 1930. They strive to develop and produce high quality and performance steel shafts for over 80 years as a pioneer in the golf industry in Japan.
Since 1970s, Shimada have applied the Counter Balance Design Concept to their shafts. The balance point shifted to the butt area helps players to keep a steady and consistent swing plane and to accelerate the clubhead speed at the impact.
Currently, the steel shafts are produced from a metal pipe with a drawing processing method which is contrary to the ordinary processing method of other steel shafts processed from a metal plate. This Seamless Processing Method enables to produce spine-free shafts with excellent circularity.
