Breakthrough Golf Technology is a Texas-based specialist golf shaft producer which uses the latest technology to develop and market high-quality, game-altering shafts. The brainchild of 2022 Texas Golf Hall of Fame inductee Barney Adams, the company fills the gaps in golf R&D when they arise. Despite their status as a relatively new company, Breakthrough Golf brings over 100 years of experience to the market, spearheaded by Barney Adams who was the first to notice the lack of innovation in golf putter shafts in the last few decades and do something about it. 

BGT Stability

Breakthrough Golf’s first development was the Stability putter shaft, which is an ultra-stiff shaft with just 1 degree of torque to dramatically increase your consistency, distance, and accuracy. This design is now a series, with three variations of Stability shafts to choose from to up your game. 

The BGT Stability Tour One Putter Shaft is the brand’s latest award winner, suited to L-neck, non-bend style putters with its full-length composite shaft and the series’ softest feel yet. All of the Stability Tour shafts feature a traditional tour taper design with a streamlined, slim look for tour-preferred control, feel, and performance. The original BGT Stability Tour Putter Shaft isn’t as soft as the Tour One, but fits any putter regardless of brand, model, and bend profile, as does the BGT Stability Carbon Putter Shaft which also brings customisation to the table with its carbon weave, non-taper shaft profile and incredible consistency and stability. 

BGT ZNE

Breakthrough Golf Technology created the ZNE Golf Wedge Shaft - the only 2-piece wedge shaft on the market - using everything they’d learned from the design of Stability. ZNE delivers better control and more distance, with 92% of golfers showing better distance control and 90% showing tighter dispersion. 

ZNE has been designed to work with all wedges regardless of brand, model, bounce, grind or groove on all turf conditions. The shaft is available in 3 weights - 90gm, 115gm or 130gm - for optimal feel, control and consistency. The ZNE features a Stiffness Stack, a overlay which is 2.5 times stiffer than a traditional wedge shaft and controls the kick point of the shaft, allowing it to be optimised for the perfect launch.

BGT Brava

The BGT Brava Golf Wood Shaft is designed to deliver longer shots with tighter dispersion from your driver with the same technology used in the Brava Fairway. The design uses extremely strong, lightweight Toray carbon fibre which allows for less oscillation on the face, as well as Speedflite NRG technology to minimise lag to allow the ball to ‘explode’ off the face with less energy needed in your swing.

Another addition to Breakthrough Golf’s Brava range is the Sierra Echo Driver Shaft, which maximises ball speed through delivering more centre strikes and a better face angle. The shaft is light but powerful, outperforming Autoflex by 10 yards in head-to-head testing.
